This is raw unpasteurized honey harvested near around chiuri forest from different parts of Nepal espicially hilly areas. Farmers keep bee hives of generic bees (Apis mellifera or Apis cerana) near chiuri forest so that bees can collect pollens form chiuri (Diploknema butyracea) flowers during blossom season. This honey has distinct taste of chiuri and usually crystallizes even in summer. Like every organic raw honey, this honey also as an anti-microbial and immune boosting properties.

Important Note to Consider when buying Raw Honey:

State and color of Honey: Depending on age and harvested location, color and state of parts of raw honey packed in the purchased bottle may vary slightly within the same batch also. The state of a honey may be in liquid form, semi-crystalized form, or in completely crystallized form depending on glucose content and age of honey.  As raw honey is not processed and standardized, different levels of consistency even within the same batch is common. Also the color of raw honey is generally always not uniform too, as bees collect nectar and pollen from other random flowers too depending on location of harvest.
